BH Bank Project

I worked on a full-stack project focused on modernizing the bank’s internal currency exchange rate management platform.
The goal was to improve the user experience, enhance system performance, and add new features to streamline day-to-day operations for the bank’s staff.This project allowed me to apply both frontend and backend skills, while also following Agile methodology (Scrum) in a professional banking environment.

Homepage Redesign

As part of the platform redesign, I started by modernizing the login page, which serves as the application's main entry point.
The original design was outdated and not optimized for user experience or security.In addition to the visual overhaul, I implemented authentication and security mechanisms using Spring Boot Security. This includes secure login with encrypted credentials, access control for different user roles, and protection against unauthorized access.

Currency Management Interface

I developed an interface that allows users to manage the current day’s exchange rates as well as review historical rates based on a selected market.

Result Table & User Workflow

Once a market is selected, the corresponding exchange rates are displayed in a structured table.
Each row shows detailed information such as currency, buy and sell rates, and modification history.This interface also supports a role-based workflow, where each user has a specific responsibility:One user is responsible for proposing or updating the buy and sell exchange rates.A second user validates the proposed changes.Finally, a third user confirms the changes to make them official.

Export Feature

To improve data portability and make reporting more flexible, I implemented a feature that allows users to export the exchange rate table in multiple formats, including TXT, Excel, and JSON.
This functionality helps bank staff easily share, archive, or process the data using tools of their choice

Currency Exchange Rate Statistics Feature

To provide better visibility into historical trends, I also implemented a feature that displays statistics on the history of currency exchange rates.
This module allows users to visualize how exchange rates have changed over time using interactive charts. It helps banking staff analyze fluctuations, detect patterns, and make more informed decisions.The statistics are generated dynamically based on stored data and can be filtered by currency and date range, offering a flexible and insightful view of the exchange rate history.

Admin Interface Description

I also developed an admin interface that allows administrators to manage key aspects of the application.
Through this interface, the admin can configure system properties—such as supported currencies, exchange rate update frequency, and export settings—as well as manage user profiles, including account creation, role assignment, and access control.This feature ensures better control, flexibility, and security across the platform, making it easier for authorized staff to maintain and adjust the system as needed.

Summary & Feedback Invitation

This project allowed me to significantly enhance my full-stack development skills by redesigning a critical banking platform with a focus on user experience, security, and performance. By implementing features such as secure authentication, dynamic statistics, multi-format exports, and an intuitive admin interface.. Overcoming challenges related to legacy data and optimizing backend processes strengthened my problem-solving abilities and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
